2016 was a banner year! From the second largest run in the last 20 years, the Bristol Bay fleet chilled 68% of the total catch, supporting increased H&G Fresh and Fillet production.

Our 3rd 2017 Outreach and Town Hall event is drawing near! Look for our BBRSDA booth at Kodiak's ComFish event from March 30th to April 1st.

Our next Outreach event will be in Bellingham, WA on March 1st, 2017. Look for our booth at Bellingham's Wild Seafood Exchange or join us at our Town Hall meeting at the Squalicum Boathouse at 7:30pm.  We encourage all members to attend!

A quick update - A time for member comments has been set for 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 16.  As always, members are welcome to attend any and all of the 2 day meeting (with the exception of executive session).  Realizing time may be limited for those traveling in from outlying areas, or for those working, we hope this designated time makes planning to attend a little easier.

BBRSDA is pleased to announce that our branding pilot project will launch September 1st in Boulder, Colorado. Our rebranded consumer facing website is now live, so you can see the new, modern look at www.bristolbaysockeye.org.

BBRSDA will hold its annual member meeting in Naknek, Alaska this Saturday, June 11th at 1:00 p.m. at the Bristol Bay Borough High School Auditorium.  Following the member meeting, BBRSDA will hold a regular board meeting beginning at 4:00 p.m.

On May 13, 2016, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) issued a news release about the walrus haul out at Cape Greig.  Current plans are to operate the fishery in a normal fashion.
