Speaker Bryce Edgmon (I-Dillingham) and Representative Andy Josephson (D-Anchorage) have introduced the Bristol Bay Forever Act in Alaska. If passed, this act would safeguard the Bristol Bay region from all large-scale metallic sulfide mining and ensure the future of the largest salmon fishery on the planet.

McKinley Research Group has compiled preliminary data from the 2024 Bristol Bay fishing and sales seasons which indicate trends in fishery value, the value share by sector and upward price trends at ex-vessel, first wholesale, and export.
