BBRSDA is hiring: Program Coordinator
/The Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association (BBRSDA) is seeking a Program Coordinator to help maximize the value of the Bristol Bay salmon fishery for our members by advancing key marketing, sustainability, quality, and outreach initiatives. (For a .pdf of Job Description clink HERE.)
Location & Compensation
Remote (work-from-home), preferably in Alaska or the Puget Sound area
Salary: $55,000–$65,000 (exempt, salaried with potential bonus) + up to 6% retirement match
Full-time, year-round
PTO: 10 paid holidays + 12 hours/month
Other benefits: $100/month phone/internet stipend; up to $500 healthcare stipend
Start date: November 2025
Role Overview
The Program Coordinator reports to the Program Manager and will work across BBRSDA’s program areas — marketing, quality, sustainability, outreach — supporting both administrative and outward-facing responsibilities. Duties include:
Project coordination & administrative support (minutes, process improvements, finance/admin tasks)
Managing and updating websites and managing content
Creating and editing communications, social media, and creative campaign assets
Member, board, and public liaison duties
Planning & executing events, tradeshows, fleet meetings, photo contest
Supporting performance measurement & reporting
What We’re Looking For
Experience & skills include:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in communications, marketing, business administration, nonprofit management, or related field
2–4 years in program support, event planning, admin/coordination, or communications
Strong organizational, writing/editing, and interpersonal skills
Experience with website CMS, social media (paid ads as well), graphic/creative tools (e.g. Canva or Adobe)
Experience working remotely, comfort working with both industry/fisher members and consumer-facing work

BBRSDA is dedicated to maximizing the value of Bristol Bay’s commercial salmon fishery for our members (S03T permit holders) through strategic marketing of Bristol Bay sockeye salmon, quality improvement, sustainability, and partnering with industry & outreach. We are the sole fisherman-directed organization devoted exclusively to promoting Bristol Bay Sockeye Salmon from harvest to consumption in domestic and global markets.
