E-Ballots Sent Out for BBRSDA Board Election

Electronic ballots have been sent out to BBRSDA members for the 2023 Board of Directors election. Members will follow the link in the email or text message they received to cast their vote via the secure ElectionBuddy voting platform. The deadline for submitting your e-ballot is April 3, 2023, at 11:59pm (AKT). Paper ballots must also be received by our Inspector of Elections (Cashion Gilmore & Lindemuth) by April 3, 2023. Regardless of whether you vote through the email or text message link (or paper ballot), members will only be able to submit one ballot per S03T permit owned.

The e-ballot has links to candidate information, but that can also be found HERE.

E-ballots were not sent to BBRSDA members who 1) requested a paper ballot, 2) opted out of the election, or 3) did not have a text-capable phone number or email address associated with their permit. Recall that BBRSDA mailed out voter contact cards several weeks ago where you could update your contact information and make these selections. If you did not receive an e-ballot and wish to vote, don’t worry, you still can (see below).

Answers to Potential Questions:

I did not get any text message or email, is there any way I can still vote?

Yes, this likely occurred because the phone number associated with your S03T permit is a landline and we did not receive a verified email address for you. In this case, please email a picture of your 2023 CFEC permit card to info@bbrsda.com AND list the text-capable phone number and/or email address you’d like to have the ballot sent to (note: this will be the easiest option for BBRSDA and you). Or, you may call BBRSDA at 907-677-2371 from the phone number associated with your permit. Our staff will assist you in getting access to your e-ballot.

I got a text message and want to vote, but do not have internet access on my phone… how do I vote?

1. Get to a computer with internet access.

2. Enter this address into an internet browser: https://secure.electionbuddy.com/ballot

3. Enter your unique access key and click the “Vote now” button. Your 16-digit access key can be found in the text message you received (it is the code that comes after “ebv.io/”). You can enter in the key with or without dashes and it is not case-sensitive.

4. You’ll be taken to your unique e-ballot, then just make your vote choices and submit them. Save your confirmation code if you ever wish to confirm your ballot was counted.
