Lilani Dunn Hired as BBRSDA Marketing Director

The Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association today announced that Lilani Dunn, former head of marketing at Orca Bay Seafoods has joined its team in the role of marketing director.

“Lilani has a built a strong seafood marketing resume, and a reputation as an innovator and leader with a great work ethic,” said Andy Wink, BBRSDA’s executive director. “We’ve long enjoyed working with Lilani as an industry colleague, and we’re excited to bring her on as part of our team.”

Dunn joined Orca Bay Seafoods in 2015 helping the brand to be named among the top 20 seafood brands in 2016. Her numerous roles included leading their foodservice, retail, and direct sales marketing efforts. Additionally, Dunn led Orca Bay’s public relations and philanthropic efforts.

“Having worked in seafood for years, I understand the challenges and nuances of our industry, and I know how to grow a brand and reach new customers,” Dunn said. “I am very excited to represent the Bristol Bay sockeye fishery alongside the talented team of BBRSDA. It’s an excellent product with an amazing story and I can’t wait to help tell the world about it.”

Dunn brings extensive seafood marketing experience having also previously worked for the retail and foodservice marketing programs at the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute. Additionally, Dunn is the current vice-chair of ASMI’s Domestic Marketing Committee and sits on the board of the Northwest Fisheries Association.

As an active community and industry member, Dunn brings a strong network and deep knowledge of seafood marketing to the BBRSDA. Dunn will serve in her new role from Seattle, where she lives with her husband and child.
