Welcome to the 2023 BBRSDA Annual Report

BBRSDA works hard to fulfill its mission of increasing fishery value for our members, and we’ve summarized those efforts in our 2023 Annual Report to Members (click on image below to view or download).

Inside, you’ll find information on what BBRSDA does, who we are, our approach to meeting the mission, marketing activities, quality-improvement investments, habitat protection efforts, to financial data, links to market analysis and more. For cost savings, we are not mailing a hard copy to all members this year, however, if you would really like a printed copy please contact us to request one (907)677-2371 or info@bbrsda.com

Why publish an Annual Report?

The more educated our members are about BBRSDA and the more involved they are, the better position BBRSDA is in to meet the mission. This report isn’t about marketing ourselves to the fleet - it’s intended to inform our membership about investments/activities made on your behalf, and hopefully stimulate thoughtful involvement and comments from our members.

Ways to be involved:

  • Sign up for our email list and read our monthly e-newsletter (Waypoints) - SIGN UP LINK + PAST ISSUES LINK

  • Submit a member comment to info@bbrsda.com or 907.677.2371

  • Like or follow us on facebook (just search for “BBRSDA”), and interact with posts on occasion or we might slip off your news feed

  • Attend a Board meeting (you can find those in our “Upcoming Meetings & Events” section, on the right-hand sidebar if you’re on a computer or at the bottom of this page if you’re on a smartphone, or just email info@bbrsda.com and ask)

  • Bookmark bbrsda.com and visit regularly for updates

  • Watch videos on our youtube channel - LINK

  • Vote in BBRSDA Board elections

  • Read our strategic plan - LINK

  • Check our consumer-facing marketing content, but keep the comments constructive, let’s keep internal industry issues confined to other pages. It does no good to grind axes in comment sections of posts where we have lots of consumers hanging out (we do remove inappropriate comments, but welcome them at our own BBRSDA facebook page or would be happy to get them as a member comment).
